Este curso pretende desarrollar la competencia lectora en lo que respecta a los objetivos del Plan Nacional de Lectura, Escritura y Oralidad del Ministerio de Educación Nacional -PNLEO (2022), que se propone como objetivo a : "Promover la lectura, la escritura y la oralidad como prácticas socioculturales que favorecen las capacidades de las personas y las comunidades para la participación, el mejoramiento de su calidad de vida y la construcción del
tejido social" (p.79). Además de los Fundamentos de la Política Nacional de Lectura, Escritura, Oralidad y Bibliotecas Escolares -MEN (2024), donde se plantea "Promover el desarrollo de capacidades en lectura, escritura y oralidad, y el uso y fortalecimiento de la biblioteca escolar, para contribuir a la formación integral de los niños, niñas, adolescentes, jóvenes y personas
adultas, con el fin de que puedan acceder plenamente al conocimiento y
a la configuración de su universo social y cultural en relación e interacción
con otros sujetos culturales, en sus comunidades y en la sociedad global,
durante toda su trayectoria educativa y a lo largo de la vida" (p. 82).
